Sharon Louise  Burch (Shepard)
Sharon Louise (Shepard) Burch, 52, a lifelong resident of Sandy Hook, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2014 in the loving company of her husband, children and extended family. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 30 years George William Burch; Son, George David Burch, Daughter Kelly Louise Burch & Fiancé Steven Mead, Daughter, Katie Lee Burch; Grandchildren, Mylah Marilyn Burch and Shane Mead; Father, Charles E. Shepard, all from Sandy Hook; her brothers and their wives; Chuck and Cathy Shepard of Sandy Hook; Alan & Linda Shepard of Newtown, & Kevin and Patricia Shepard of Sandy Hook; In-laws, Eva & Jack Wilson of Southbury; brother and sister in-laws Michael and Deborah Burch of New Milford; Shawn and Holly Burch of Oxford; and Heidi Perrone of Stamford . She is also survived and adored by many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins as well as extended family and friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Louise Shepard (Houle) and In-laws David & Joyce Burch. Sharon attended Newtown High School, married George William Burch on August 25, 1984 and became a loving wife, mother and home maker as well as confidant to so many who loved her for her open approach to life. Sharon, also known as Wifey & Mammi loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a lifelong best friend to so many. She had an unbelievable ability to make friends and keep them forever. Her laugher would light up a room in a way that you always felt better just being around her. She was the kind of person who accepted all unconditionally. She will be a part of us forever and for always. Friends may call on Sunday July 20, 2014 at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown, from 2:00pm to 5:00 pm.
