Betty Ann Bedini, age 78 of Nunnawauk Meadows, Newtown passed away Tuesday July 15, 2014 at Pope John Paul II Center, Danbury. Mrs. Bedini was the wife of Francis J. Bedini, Jr. for 54 years. She was born in Norwalk July 20, 1935 a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Eleck) Lehotsky. Mrs. Bedini was a longtime resident of Norwalk. She has lived in Newtown since 1999 and was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bedini is survived by a son, Francis J. Bedini, III of Newtown; a daughter, Noreen Velez of Norwalk; a brother Thomas Lehotsky of Bethel; and 4 grandchildren, Alec and Alexa Bedini, Taylor and Noah Velez. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown Saturday July 19th at 10:30am. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield. There are no calling hours. Honan Funeral Home of Newtown is in charge of arrangements.
