Paula S Carroll, 50, previously of Newtown, died on December 7 with her family at her side, after a long battle with M.S.
Paula will be greatly missed by her husband Andrew Carroll of Torrington and her daughter Shannon. Also step daughters Erica Carroll of Torrington and Rebecca Carroll of Manchester. Paula was the daughter of Roy Schaufelberger,of Southbury and the late Gretchen (Smitmens) Schaufelberger. Paula also leaves behind two sisters,Lynn Schaufelberger of Indianapolis, IN. and Ruth Cooper and her husband Cecil and their son Alex of Ft. Worth TX.
Paula attended Newtown schools and graduated from Newtown High School. Paula graduated from Western CT State University. She also had been a local school bus driver for the S. L. Bennett Transportation Co.
