Patricia J. Moran Tropeano, 72 of Sandy Hook died peacefully February 26th at Danbury Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born May 20, 1942 in Troy NY to the late Ingeborg (Jensen) and Brearton Moran. She spent the last 40 years as a resident of Sandy Hook with her husband of 50 years, John L. Tropeano. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her 2 daughters; Deborah and her husband Robert Gannon their sons Ryan & Connor of New Milford, CT, Tricia and her husband John Campbell their children Justin & Alyssa of Sherman, CT, and a son, Louis Tropeano of Weehawken, NJ. She is also survived by a sister, Bette Dest of Morris, CT, brother Brearton Moran of Yonkers, NY and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Also holding a special place in her heart she says good-bye to Julia-Jane McNulty Lambert, Katie-Rose McNulty Oliver, and Ed Nole, who she took joy in babysitting for many years.
Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown on Monday, March 2nd from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 3rd, 11:00 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown.
