Obituary for Ronald Richard "Ron" Russell

Ronald Richard "Ron"  Russell
Russell, Ronald R.
Age 70 of Sandy Hook, beloved husband of Deborah L. Russell (nee Switser), passed away on Sunday, March 29.
Born in Trenton, New Jersey, he was raised in Milford, spending many years there before moving to Sandy Hook.
Ronald proudly served as a Sergeant in the U. S. Marines during the Vietnam War. He worked for more than 40 years, first at SNET, and later, as a plant analyst at AT&T .
Ron loved camping, bike riding, kayaking, gardening and photography, but most of all, Ron was a man who loved spending time with his family.
He is the beloved father of David and his wife Doreen of Philadelphia, PA, Rebecca and her husband William of New Bedford, MA, Michael and partner Courtney of Newtown, and Andrew of Sandy Hook. Three sisters, Pat Sullivan and her husband Ed of West Haven, Priscilla Hartel and her husband Edward of Orange, Kathleen Bloxsom and her husband William of Milford, and brother Jack Russell and his wife Terry of Milford, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 3-5 p.m. followed by a brief memorial with U. S. Marine military honors at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown. Memorial contributions may be made to www.WoundedWarriorProject.org/donate.
