Nancy W. (Hull) Rahikka, 83, of Newtown, died peacefully at The Gardens in Danbury, April
4. Nancy was the wife of the late Richard R. Rahikka for 46 years. She was born October 31, 1931 in Southport, CT and was the daughter of the late Fannie (Lepisto) and Charles E.
Hull. Mrs. Rahikka is survived by her son Mark and his wife Barbara of Massapequa, NY. She is also survived by her two nieces, Susan Body and her husband Doug Body and Kathleen Ruffles; and a nephew Jeffrey Miner, all of Newtown. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Virginia Miner.

Nancy was a lover of animals, especially her beloved cats. She was an avid book reader and artist who loved to paint and draw and was a self- taught organist.
A staunch liberal who called herself an "independent", she enjoyed engaging in political debate and discourse with others. She was a real "Connecticut Yankee."

There will be a celebration of Nancy's life from 10:30am to 12:00pm on Friday, April 10, at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown, followed by interment at the Newtown Village
Cemetery.

Nancy enjoyed her time at The Gardens and the family would like to thank the staff and administration for their excellent care.
