Life Story for Louis Robert "Bob" Segneri

Louis Robert "Bob" Segneri
Louis Robert Segneri, also known as Bob, was known for his readiness to help anyone, his jovial laugh, his antique car collection, his love of Scotch and his Italian stubbornness. He was a beloved Father, Grandfather and Partner, he dedicated his life to the people he loved.

Bob passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at his home in Sandy Hook. He is survived by his daughter, Sue Ann Dixon of Monroe and his granddaughters, Margaret and Catherine Dixon as well as his other daughter Nancy Paquin and son-in-law Bradley Paquin of Cheshire and his grandchildren, Ethan and Nora Paquin. He has two surviving siblings, Phillip Segneri of Norwalk and Teresa Buckingham of Trumbull. His loving partner of 17 years, Terri Blekis, also survives him, as well as, his faithful dogs Ozzy and Sophie. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him and by all whose lives he touched in a special way.

Bob lived his life with passion and enthusiasm. When not restoring Newtown to its historical charm, or gathering with all his Newtown life long friends, Bob would often be found with family and friends tinkering in the garage on one of his many old cars or sitting in front of it enjoying a beer, and the view of Lake Zoar, with his dogs. He enjoyed traveling, especially his trips to the Hershey and Rhinebeck old car shows. In addition to his daughters, Sue Ann and Nancy, Bob enjoyed spending time with his four grandchildren, Maggie, Cassie, Ethan and Nora and his partner Terri.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday April 18 at 11:30am in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 466 Elm Street, Monroe. Interment will follow in Newtown Village Cemetery. Friends may call Monday April 17 at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
Due to Bob’s love of antique cars, we ask that anyone who has an antique car, please drive it in the funeral procession to bring a smile to Bob in heaven and to celebrate his life and love of cars.
