John Joseph Lally, Jr. “Jack”, of Brookfield, CT passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2017, his 59th birthday, after his courageous battle with brain cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Jack was born in Montclair, NJ to Patricia (Dawson) and the late John J. Lally. Jack graduated with a B.A. degree in History from Rutgers University in 1980. He then started his 30 year career in the (re)insurance industry, which took the family to Arizona and Texas, before settling in Connecticut. In his spare time Jack enjoyed reading, playing golf and spending time at the family lake house.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Margaret, his son John, daughters Christine and Kerri-Ann and beloved dog, Tony. He is also survived by his sisters Susan, Carol and Kathy, brothers Robert and Patrick, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Roberta.
Visiting hours will be held at Honan Funeral Home in Newtown, CT on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 4 – 7 pm. A celebration of Jack’s life will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Newtown, CT at 11 am.
