Frank S. Young, age 58 of Newtown died unexpectedly at his home January 4, 2010.
He was born in Danbury April 27, 1951 a son of Ruth (Hanson) Young of Brookfield and the late Richard S. Young. Frank grew up in Brookfield and was a graduate of Brookfield High School. He was a gardener-landscaper and had previously been employed by the Town of Brookfield, Home Depot and Planter’s Choice in Newtown. Frank enjoyed Antique Farm Equipment and was a fundraiser for children’s charities.
In addition to his mother, Frank is survived by 2 brothers, Richard E. Young of Southbury and Thomas R. Young of Danbury; 3 sisters, Jane E. Young and Nancy J. Spillane both of Naugatuck and Joan L. Massey of Nebo, NC and 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday January 16, 2010 at 4:00pm in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Friends may call Saturday after 3:00pm.
