Message: I was saddened to hear of Betty's loss. She was my guide when I started to work in Danbury Hospital, Emergency room. She taught me so much and how to handle trauma we dealt with daily, in a productive way. Her theme was that the toughest moments in life do not break but make us...Betty, what I will always remember is the way you laughed, the stories you told and the guidance you gave when I needed it most. I will always remember the friendship we shared. May you rest in peace my special friend, Betty.

Message: Growing up in Newtown, us Iszard kids spent a lot of time at the Ecsedy house! I remember running around that big yard and climbing the rock cliffs in the back. There was always something interesting going on in the big garden and the little greenhouse. Mrs. Ecsedy- we always called her that- just accepted us into her brood as if 1 or 2 more didn't matter! Dinner was always fun and I always think of that big lazy Susan on the table spinning the ketchup around. Mrs. Ecsedy was the heart of that house...always had a hug and a listening ear at the ready. I always considered her my second mom. I wish I could have come tonight and share more memories with you all but please know you are in my heart and I am remembering all the great times that were my childhood on Hattertown Road. Love to you all...
