Obituary for Brian Keith Harrington

Brian K. Harrington, 50, returned to his Heavenly Father on September 30, 2019.

Brian was born to Gerald and Martha Harrington on April 29, 1969 in Bronxville, NY. He graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall in 1987 Brian received his B.A. from Tufts Univesity and New England Conservatory in a double degree program he was enrolled in before going on to receive a Master of Arts Degree from Yale University..

Brian was a co-founder and managing partner at Global Search Solutions, where he worked as a scientific recruiter since 2005. He valued the special relationship he shared with his partners, Christian Camp, Peter Tomassi, and Spencer Weneck.

Brian was blessed with a large & loving family. He married Ruth Mateo on June 12, 1999 and had four children Katherine, Jeremiah, Noah, and Abigail. He faithfully catechized his children. He was diligent in teaching and encouraging them to explore the beauty of the gospel. He also shared a special bond with his "nephew," Daniel Rosado, whom he loved as a son. Brian loved to preach and share the gospel with anyone he could, including the parking garage attendant. His zeal for learning and teaching was evident in everything he did.

Brian was a jazz enthusiast and loved to play anywhere he had the opportunity. Among his favorite things were spending time with his family, jazz guitar, reading a myriad of books, and, later, discussing and pondering his discoveries with his closest friends.

Brian is survived by his former spouse Ruth, his children Katherine, Jeremiah, Noah, and Abigail, his mother Martha and mother and father in law Jose and Luisa Mateo. He is preceded in death by his father Gerald Sr. and brother Gerald Jr.

Services will be held on October 8th, 2019 at Walnut Hill Community Church, located at 156 Walnut Hill Road, Bethel, CT 06801. Calling hours will be at 10 A.M. and the Celebration of Life service will be at 11 A. M. at the church. A private burial will immediately follow in Bronxville, NY.
