Craig Hayes, 32 of Newtown, Ct passed away unexpectedly on August 28th, 2018 at his home. Craig graduated from Newtown High School in 2004. Craig spent many years working in the tree service industry. His most recent work was with Newtown Arbor Service with Al Potter who he considered his mentor. Craig enjoyed working on his cars, racing his dirt bike and spending time with his friends and family. He was one that could always be counted on to led a hand with a warm smile and big bear hugs. He is predeceased by his mother, Linda Hayes. He is survived by his sisters, Sarah Hayes of Newtown, Ct, and Tricia Edel Stoner (Jason Stoner) of Lexington, SC, his father, Dennis Hayes of Newtown, Ct. and his neice, Jordan Sox. He had countless friends that were considered family and loved him very much. He is greatly missed by everyone. The memorial service will be held Saturday, September 1st from 11am -1pm at Honan Funeral Home in Newtown. The family requests everyone come casually dressed. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Arbor Foundation in Craig's name.
