Dennis wore many hats during his lifetime and was well known as a teacher, architect and entrepreneur and was completing his law studies. He and his wife Debbie were the owners of MisFitz in Southbury. He spent much of his free time with his beloved dog Buddy and his chickens. Dennis loved spending time with his family being "Pooh Bah", watching his grandchildren play basketball, telling tall tales and creating capers. He was an avid UCONN fan.
