Condolences

Condolence From: Linda Cooley Nash
Condolence: I met Eileen after a Hurricane we had many years ago. I was volunteering at the Middle School just chatting with the elder folks that had come to stay in the school because of no power. Eileen and I became fast friends and after a couple of days I offered 2 gals to go take a ride with me to see if the power was back in their homes. So, we went to Eileen's house 1st. We pull in the driveway and she stars pushing a button on something...nothing happens with the garage door opener. But I notice the front porch light is on. So, Eileen goes into the front door and low and behold the power is on. She walks into the garage opens the garage door from inside. I walk in and she is still pushing the same button and I hear a noise. She was opening and locking the doors to the Buick in the garage not the Garage door itself! We had a great chuckle - so we went back to the Middle School and gathered her belongings and I took her back home. Furnace was warming the house - happy ending. I remember her sitting in the Middle School gym with her Pearls on. May she rest in Peace!

Condolence: I still use the skills that "Miss Brenner" taught me when I went to NHS on Queen Street. She started me on my path in life. I was blessed to be able to tell her this at an "Eat and Learn Luncheon" at Masonicare a few years go. I am so sorry to have missed the calling hours - we were out of town. I am sorry for your loss.

Condolence From: Patricia Ann Hinckley Reese
Condolence: I just learned of Mrs.Willig's passing today and am sorry I missed the calling hours and funeral. I learned how to type from her in high school(graduated in 1963) and used that skill in college and graduate school. Unfortunately on the computer, I don't continue. For many years, she attended our class reunions(albeit few in number) though she was unable to attend our 50th in 2013 but sent us a lovely note. She was always thoughtful that way. God Bless You.
