February 4, 1934 to May 29, 2021
George Albert Kozak, age 87 of Sandy Hook Connecticut, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on May 29, 2021. He is predeceased by his wife Helen Kozak of 58 years of marriage and his son Kenneth Kozak of Waterbury Connecticut. He will be missed by his daughter Lori Clark and her husband Patrick of Center Harbor New Hampshire, Gary Kozak of Sandy Hook Connecticut and daughter in-law Jenny Kozak of Waterbury. And his 5 grandchildren;Ryan and Patrick Clark; Jennifer and Jason Kozak of Waterbury, CT and Kenneth Kozak of Massachusetts.
George was a proud veteran of The United States Army and proudly served 2 years with Company D of the Signal Corps at Kaiserslautern, Germany in 1957 and 1958. He was an avid outdoors man who loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
George spent 24 years working at the Fabric Fire Hose in Sandy Hook and retired from The Newtown Board of Education as a custodian.
A Graveside Service with full Military Honors will be conducted Saturday June 5, 2021 at 10:30am in St. Rose Cemetery, 20 Cherry Street, Sandy Hook. There are no calling hours. Funeral Arrangements are in care of Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
