As a family we have so many great memories of Glenn. He was such an inspiration to both our children, Sarah and James, as a coach and mentor and probably never realized the influence he had on their lives long after we moved away from Newtown.... The team spirit that James thrives on started years' ago with the Torpedoes and the different relays the boys would swim under Glenn's watchful eye. The encouragement the boys gave each other was matched only by that of Glenn. My own favorite memory of Glenn is the sheer enjoyment he got from being around kids whether it was his own, Abby, Emma, Maggie and Ellen, or everyone elses. His focus was always on the kids ...paperwork had to be someone else's responsibility!! We feel blessed to have known Glenn for a few short years and hope Abby, Emma, Maggie and Ellen can treasure some great memories of a Dad who was loved by all.
