Condolences

Condolence From: Carolyn Kilonsky
Condolence: Dear Atkinson family,
I was shocked and saddened to hear about Glen's death. I graduated Newtown High in 1982 and knew Glen and Mary well. I do not live in the area any longer, but would see Glen at Mass when I was visiting my parents, Bob and Judy Corea. He has plowed their driveway for years. Glen was a gentle, kind, and warm man. I am so sorry for your loss. With sympathy, Carolyn Corea Kilonsky

Condolence: As a family we have so many great memories of Glenn. He was such an inspiration to both our children, Sarah and James, as a coach and mentor and probably never realized the influence he had on their lives long after we moved away from Newtown.... The team spirit that James thrives on started years' ago with the Torpedoes and the different relays the boys would swim under Glenn's watchful eye. The encouragement the boys gave each other was matched only by that of Glenn. My own favorite memory of Glenn is the sheer enjoyment he got from being around kids whether it was his own, Abby, Emma, Maggie and Ellen, or everyone elses. His focus was always on the kids ...paperwork had to be someone else's responsibility!! We feel blessed to have known Glenn for a few short years and hope Abby, Emma, Maggie and Ellen can treasure some great memories of a Dad who was loved by all.

Condolence: To the Atkinson Family: Please accept my heartfelt condolences for Glenn's passing. Glenn was a terrific man who had a great love of friends, family and God. I will always remember the 4th of July and Christmas parties that he hosted, and the joy he felt at having people at his house. I recall his infamous 'Tacky Party', and how he tried to teach me to ice skate on his pond with the girls while drinking hot chocolate in his shack. Glenn will always be with us in spirit, and God has more angel to look over us.

God bless you all.

Condolence: We were so shocked and saddened by the news we received from Melissa that "Emma's Dad passed away." We had the pleasure of meeting Glenn a year ago at JCU, while we were all moving the girls into their dorm room. His sense of humor and enthusiasm made it more enjoyable for the parents. Melissa, Sam and Janie, 3 close friends of Emmas, are in London, but feel so very sad they are not with Emma. She is such a sensitive and supportive friend , that I know they would want to be with her now. Our prayers are with your family. Pam and Brian Fillmore
