Obituary for Helen Amelia Kayfus (Hiza)

Helen Amelia (Hiza) Kayfus, 86, widow of Robert Lawrence Kayfus of Raphine, VA and previously of Sandy Hook passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at her residence.
Mrs. Kayfus was born May 9, 1925 in Fairfield a daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia (Yerkovich) Hiza.
Helen retired from DuPont in 1982 where she was employed on an assembly line. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Kayfus was preceded in death by two daughters, Elaine Stewart and Nancy Cohen; three brothers, Joseph Hiza, John Hiza and William Hiza and a sister, Mary Bodnar.
Surviving are four sons, Robert L. Kayfus of Katy, TX, Thomas J. Kayfus of Raphine, Gary P. Kayfus and his wife, Paige of Coral Springs, FL, and Timothy J. Kayfus and his wife, Beth of Maryville, TN; a daughter, Kathleen M. Paccadolmi of Raphine; a sister, Agnes Hornak of Fairfield, CT; a daughter-in-law, Wanda Kayfus of Abilene, TX; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 10, 2012. Interment will follow in St. Rose Cemetery.
