Obituary for Henry Walter "Bud" Trenka
Henry (Bud) Trenka of Stamford died March 3, 2021. He was born on Nov. 28, 1943 in New York City to Henry A. Trenka and Mary (Indrisek) Trenka. Henry is survived by his sister, Dolores A. Ruscoe, of Newtown, CT; nephew, Jonathan Jenkins; niece Beth A. West; and many cousins and lifelong friends.
Bud grew up in Gaylordsville, CT and graduated from New Milford High School in 1961. Henry’s professional career included years as a Flight Instructor and then as owner of Bud Trenka Photographics in Stamford, CT. A freak bicycle accident left him a paraplegic in 1999. He continued to live an active life until complications from paralysis claimed his life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown Monday March 8, 2021 at 10:30am. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, New Milford in the Spring. Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown is in charge of funeral arrangements.
