Jessica Adrienne Rekos, beloved and cherished daughter of Richard S. and Krista A. Lehmann Rekos of Sandy Hook, died tragically on December 14, 2012 with her friends and classmates at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Born in Danbury on May 10, 2006, she was a lifelong resident of Sandy Hook. Jessica loved horseback riding, learning about orcas, writing, and playing with her little brothers. In addition to her parents, she is survived by brothers Travis J. and Shane S. Rekos both of Sandy Hook; Maternal Grandparents, John E. and Suzanne A. Lehmann of Groveland, FL; Paternal Grandfather, Richard J. Rekos and his wife Mary of Danbury; Paternal Grandmother, Mary Anne Mellny Rekos of Monroe; Aunts: Karyn Lehmann of Groveland, FL; Karla (Lehmann) Lafferty and her husband, Jack of Clermont, FL; and Uncles: Brian Rekos and his girlfriend, Cathy Byrne of Newtown; Craig Lehmann and his wife Maureen of Weeki Wachee, FL; Kurt Lehmann and his wife Marion, of Belle Mead, NJ; and Cousins: Kaitlin, Samantha, Connor, Erin, and Kelly.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 18, 12 Noon at St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown. The Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, is in care of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Newtown Rotary Sandy Hook School Fund, PO Box 263, Newtown, CT 06482.
