Obituary for John Michel Ciaccio Jr.

John M. Ciaccio Jr.

September 11, 1951 – October 14, 2020

John M. Ciaccio, Jr. passed away at home with family at his side at the age of 69 after a three-year battle with cancer.

He was the only child of John and Clara Ciaccio of upstate New York.

He is survived by his loving wife Janet of 46 years and his beloved children Jenn and Johnny and son-in-law
Dave. He also leaves behind his cherished grandson David who he enjoyed every moment with.

Due to the COVID situation there will be no service at this time but the family is planning a memorial in the spring.

The Ciaccio Family would like to thank all our friends and family who helped us through this journey. Special thank you to all our friends at Danbury Hospital, Newtown Rehabilitation, Western Ct Home Care and Regional Hospice and Palliative Care who lovingly guided us to our peaceful ending.

On behalf of my wife and children, I write this testimony to honor my brother in law Johnny. I pass on our condolences and love to everyone affected by his loss. To my sister Janet, Jennifer/David / David Jr and his son Johnny Jr., we love you all and grieve with you. Johnny was someone I knew for 50 years. We had some great times and laughs together. As Janet reminded me yesterday, I introduced them and he stood her up on the first date - a classic John story. I’m going to miss his sense of humor and big brother advice. We shared so many memories together over the years, some good and some sad but always as a family. Johnny, what a beautiful first weekend to enjoy in Heaven. I’m sure there’s an eight pointer with your name on it. You were one of a kind never to be replaced only remembered RIP.......

Our deepest condolences to Janet, children and grandson on the passing of Johnny. John, my sister Sandra, and I grew up as "cousins" since our parents were best friends. Our memories over the last 60+ years have been flooding back to me over the last two days. Crazy days as little kids roaming the woods at the country house, not to mention the highly dangerous drives in Johnny's car over dirt roads when he got his license at 16! The most recent was our wonderful family cruise to Bermuda with John's Mom, my "Aunty Claire." How I loved her! You will be missed but the memories will live on forever. God bless you and your family. "Cousin" Susan
