Obituary for Karen Elizabeth Paulin

Karen Elizabeth Paulin of New Haven, CT, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.

Karen was born October 23, 1962 in Connecticut, the daughter of the late Joseph Vincent and Lillian Gifford Lipnickas. She grew up in Monroe, CT. and graduated from Masuk High School. Karen was a talented artist, creative mind, and lover of people and was a friend to all she met. She had a deep love for animals, especially dogs and was a regular donor to the ASPCA.

Karen is survived by her loving children, Jennifer Rose Padilla, her husband Jon and their two daughters Lillian Elisa and Violet Elizabeth Padilla, Gary Anthony Paulin and his wife Marianne, Sarah Anne Paulin, and Adam Patrick Paulin and his daughter Brooklynn Marie Paulin. She is also survived by her sister, Laurie Lipnickas Staley, her niece Nicole Johnson and grandniece Laura Johnson. Karen had many friends at her home, Bella Vista in New Haven, and the family is very grateful for the kindness and friendship they provided Karen over the past few years.

The family would like to send heartfelt thanks all who have reached out during their time of mourning with support.

Karen will be laid to eternal rest at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull, CT. on the morning of Tuesday, July 14th, 2020 in a small private ceremony. A celebration of her life will be planned for her many friends at a later date.
