Kathleen Keefe DeMeo (“Katie”), 79, died Thursday, April 21, 2022, in Danbury. Katie, a resident of Washington, CT, was preceded in death by her sister Sarah Kubishen, her son-in-law, Allen Hubbard, and her beloved husband of 34 years, David Carl DeMeo. Dave and Katie raised their family together in Newtown. Katie is survived by one sister, Ellen McMahon of Bronxville, NY, and five children, Nancie Hubbard of Newtown; Dori Stergar (Gary) of Richmond, VA; David DeMeo, Jr. (Alice) of Washington, CT; Kathy O’Sullivan (Joe) of Tampa, FL; and Larry DeMeo (Kim) of Ashland, MA. Katie is grandmother to seventeen precious grandchildren. Katie attended St. Francis of Xavier Church in New Milford, and was a participant in the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration group of St. Marguerite in Brookfield. For many years Katie worked alongside Dr. Martin Randolph of Danbury, as office manager and research assistant. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 28, from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Honan Funeral Home, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 29, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Rose of Lima Church, both in Newtown.
