Obituary for Kevin Daniel McCafferty

On December 19, 2021, the world lost a wonderful man. Kevin Daniel McCafferty, 51, of Newtown, CT lost his battle with cancer. Kevin was born in Brooklyn, NY as one of five children. A graduate of New Milford high school class of 1988, Kevin traveled extensively and lived in California, Florida and St. Thomas before settling down with his bride Tracy Casella in Newtown. There, they raised three wonderful children, Leah, Abby and Michael.

Kevin worked tirelessly as a wine distributor and dedicated his best attributes to some of the area's finest restaurants over the past 25 years. His warm presence was a mainstay in these establishments, many of which considered him family. But Kevin’s true passion was being a father and devoted husband. He loved spending time with his family watching the Giants and vacationing in the OBX and LBI.

Everyone who met Kevin loved him. He was regarded as the nicest guy in the world with a sweet and gentle soul. His sense of humor and smile will never be forgotten. He had a gift for making people laugh during the most difficult times of life, even his own.

Kevin is survived by his wife Tracy, his children Leah, Abby and Michael, his mother Virginia McCafferty, his siblings Mary (Richard Porco), John (Dorothy), Michael (Monica) and Tara. His in-laws Michael and Annie Casella, Lisa (Joe Puglisi), Brian (Melissa) along with many nieces, nephews and cousins who adored him. Kevin‘s presence will be missed but his spirit will live on.
