Mae K. Staudinger age 96, a former longtime resident of Sandy Hook died Friday March 27, 2020 at her home in Torrington. Mrs. Staudinger was the wife of the late Henry Staudinger. She was born in Greenwich on July 29, 1923 a daughter of the late Edward A. and Helen A. (Lounsbury) Purdy. For many years, Mae was an employee of the Southbury Training School until her retirement in 1975. She enjoyed gardening and loved all kinds of animals.
Mrs. Staudinger is survived by a son, Henry E. Staudinger of Mineral, Virginia; 2 daughters, Karen Conger of Sandy Hook and Bettyann Lupia and her husband Richard of Oxford; her caregiver the past four years, Jackie Bramwell; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Bobby Boy.
Funeral Services and interment in Zoar Cemetery are private. There are no calling hours.
