Obituary for Margaret Ann "Peggy" Larivee (Crispo)

Margaret A (Crispo) Larivee, 94, of Sandy Hook, CT, formerly Arlington, MA passed away peace-fully in her home on December 3, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Armand T. Larivee. Devoted mother of Judy Dubois and husband, Chuck. Cherished grandmother of Bethany, Monique, Claire and Matthew.

Margaret “Peggy” was born on July 21, 1927 in Somerville, MA to the late Leon and Lena (Phillion) Crispo. One of 11 children afforded her a very full and wonderful family life sharing laughs, holidays and memories with her 2 sisters and 8 brothers over the years. She is now sur-vived by her brother, James Crispo of Reading, MA and many loving Nieces and Nephews.

Peggy married n 1957 to the love of her life, Armand “Larry” and soon after settled in Arlington, MA to raise a family. Here she was active in her Parish and Community, always cheerful and generous, giving of her time and talents. She was an avid knitter and sewer, enjoyed cooking, and a keen card player, often the center of much laughter and fun among family and friends. And let’s not forget how much she lit up the Bingo Hall. She was truly at her happiest taking care of and being surrounded by her daughter and grandkids, so in 2014 she relocated to Newtown, CT to be near them. They were her ‘everything’. While taking part in their everyday lives and activities, Peg fostered close bonds and beautiful memories for which they will forever be grateful.

On December 19th, a wake will be held at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St, Newtown, CT from 2-4pm with closing prayers. On December 22, a Funeral mass will be held at St Eulalia Parish in Winchester, MA at 11am, followed by interment at Mt Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington, MA. We re-spectfully request that everyone who attends wears a mask. The mass will be live streamed for anyone unable to attend at https://sainteulalia.org/live-stream.

Our family would like to thank all Peggy’s wonderful healthcare providers and caregivers for their support and care over the past year that allowed Peggy to remain in her home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Palliative Care Program c/o the Danbury Hospital Foundation. (http://www.nuvancehealth.org/giving).
