Obituary for Marguerite Ann "Marge" Eldridge (Nolan)

Marguerite Nolan Eldridge of Sandy Hook passed away on January 31, 2019 at age 96. She was born in Bridgeport, CT on June 2, 1922 a daughter of the late William and Marie (McCormick) Nolan. Marguerite graduated from Central High School in Bridgeport and continued her education at Booth & Balis School of Business. Mrs. Eldridge was employed at Musante, Berman & Steinberg in Bridgeport as Office Manager and Bookkeeper. Marguerite and her sister, Patricia Nolan Killing later opened a drive-in restaurant in Newtown, CT. In her retirement, Marguerite volunteered for Meals on Wheels and FISH providing help to those in her community. Marguerite is survived by her daughter, Terry Lyman and son-in-law Jason Soderlund, Marguerite is pre-deceased by her son, Charles L. Eldridge, and her husband Charles H. Eldridge. Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown Wednesday February 6, 2019 from 4 to 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, Brookfield Thursday February 7, 2019 at 10:00am. Interment will be in St. Rose Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Eldridge requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
