Richard L. Prasauckas, 76, of Sandy Hook passed away unexpectedly January 2, 2020 at his home. Mr. Prasauckas was the husband of Jacquelyn (Taradine) Prasauckas. He was born in Waterbury February 6, 1943 a son of the late John and Nellie (Griskauskas) Prasauckas. Richard served in the US Army during the Vietnam War Era. He was a graduate of the University of New Haven. Richard was an employee of Armstrong Rubber for many years and retired as a Systems Analyst for Sikorsky Aircraft. Mr. Prasauckas was a former President of the Newtown Little League.
In addition to his wife, survivors include 3 sons, Rick Prasauckas of Newtown, Matthew Prasauckas of Danbury and Jason Prasauckas of Newtown; a daughter, Kristin Humphrey of Danbury; a brother, Wayne Dojny and a sister, Cynthia Burns both of Oxford. All services will be private. Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street. Newtown is serving the family.
