Richard L. Prasauckas, 76, of Sandy Hook passed away unexpectedly January 2, 2020 at his home. Mr. Prasauckas was the husband of Jacquelyn (Taradine) Prasauckas. He was born in Waterbury February 6, 1943 a son of the late John and Nellie (Griskauskas) Prasauckas. Richard served in the US Army during the Vietnam War Era. He was a graduate of the University of New Haven. Richard was an employee of Armstrong Rubber for many years and retired as a Systems Analyst for Sikorsky Aircraft. Mr. Prasauckas was a former President of the Newtown Little League.
In addition to his wife, survivors include 3 sons, Rick Prasauckas of Newtown, Matthew Prasauckas of Danbury and Jason Prasauckas of Newtown; a daughter, Kristin Humphrey of Harwinton; a brother, Wayne Dojny and a sister, Cynthia Burns both of Oxford. Family and close friends may call Friday January 10, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00am in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
