Robert John Marchisio age 89 of Newtown, CT died Sunday February 9, 2020 peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. He was very religious man and found great comfort reading the Bible and attending his Bible study groups. Bob was a devout parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown, CT. He was very appreciative of his friends that came to visit him when he became unable to leave his home. Bob's family would like to thank all those friends, volunteers and especially his care team from Regional Hospice. Their outstanding care allowed him to remain Comfortable to the end. A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated Thursday February 13, 2020 at 10:30am in St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown, CT. A reception will immediately follow the Mass at Barnwood Grill Restaurant, 5 Queen Street, Newtown, CT 06470. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, 30 Milestone Road, Danbury, CT 06810 will be appreciated by Bob's family.
