William M. Flood, age 78, died July 20, 2010 in Pope John Paul II Care and Rehabilitation Center, Danbury after a long illness. Mr. Flood was a longtime resident of Monroe and Newtown.
He was born in Bridgeport on April 12, 1932 a son of the late Frank and Margaret (Cavanaugh) Flood, Sr. Prior to his retirement, Bill was a self employed Realtor and Real Estate Appraiser. He was a member of the Gaelic-American Club of Fairfield and was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown.
Survivors include 2 sons, William M. Flood, Jr. and his wife Jennifer and Brian M. Flood and his wife Magali all of Southbury; 2 daughters, Karen Culkins and her husband Michael of Harvard, MA and Kimberly Lydon and her husband Bob of Newtown; a sister, Peggy Scinto of Shelton; 7 Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother, Frank Flood, Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday July 23, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown. Friends may call Friday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm
