Message: I remember the night I called Dan and told him my beloved dog of 17 years had passed away, Danny, knowing I am a woman with physical limitations and unable to handle the task at hand... offered to come over and help me. He did it with kindness and dignity and grace. I called him Dr. Doolittle sometimes because of his amazing connection with animals. My cat doesn't even like me as much as he loved Dan. And I remember how excited he was when I emailed him pictures of my new puppy. He said he couldn't wait to meet him. We may have had an age difference, but I would like to think we had an amazingly warm, spiritual friendship. I will miss him checking in on me to see how I am feeling...he was good like that. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
