Mrs. Mary Edwards, 94, of Sandy Hook, Connecticut and previously of South Norwalk, Connecticut passed away peacefully on April 6th, 2016 at Masonicare at Newtown. She was born in Norwalk on February 15, 1922 a daughter of the late Pasquale and Florence (Forcellina) Vozzo.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, George Edwards. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Iannacone, granddaughter, Renée Iannacone, two great-grandsons, her twin sister, Louise Soltes and very special nieces and nephews.
Mary was an active member of the Newtown Senior Citizen Center in Sandy Hook and Saint Rose of Lima Church of Newtown. Her friends remember her as an avid walker, a lover of Italian food and a very strong woman.
Friends may call this Saturday, April 9th, at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown from 9:45am- 10:45am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rose of Lima Church at 11:00am. Interment in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Masonicare at Newtown c/o the Masonic Charity Foundation of Connecticut, P.O.
