Ann Neustrand, 72, of Sandy Hook died May 16 at Danbury Hospital. She was born in Danbury August 17, 1943 a daughter of the late Nils and Mary (Felcovic) Neustrand. Ann was a resident of Sandy Hook for most of her life and was a graduate of Newtown High School and Southern Connecticut State University. She taught in Shelton and Seymour schools for 35 years. Ann enjoyed gardening as well as traveling throughout the United States and Canada. She is survived by three sisters; Adelaide Ryan of Waxahachie, TX, Mary Buckner of Denton, TX and Joanne Neustrand of Boca Raton, FL and a nephew, Gannon Smith of Orlando, FL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown on Saturday May 21 at 12:30pm. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are in care of the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
