Obituary for Carolita May "Tinker" Pratt

Carolita May "Tinker"  Pratt
Carolita “Tinker” Pratt, of Clearwater FLA and Newtown CT, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2016.

Tinker was born on October 14,1934 in Huntington VT. She was the third of nine children born to John and Mildred (Weston) Allen.

She is survived by three of her four children, John Pratt of Newtown CT, Darryel Pratt of Brookfield CT, and Brian Pratt of Dunedin FLA; two sisters, Lois (Allen) Belair and Cheryl (Allen) Greenwood; one brother, Dale Allen; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Tinker was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Harold Allen, Paul Allen, Phyllis (Allen) Huff, Ralph Allen, and David Allen; and her daughter Carol (Pratt) Williams.

Tinker was a retired Dining Room Supervisor at Fairfield Hills Hospital where she worked for 34 years. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who raised her four children and was always happy to care for her grandchildren and those in need.

Tinker loved to cook and bake especially with her grandchildren. Her favorite time of year was Christmas where she would spend days baking cookies and creating cookie trays which she delivered to loved ones spreading joy and laughter wherever she went. She was a bright star that guided her family though its darkest times, and she will be greatly missed.

Friends and family may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown Saturday December 3 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. A Service of Remembrance will follow at noon.
