Obituary for Carol Arlene Gee (Sandt)

Carol Arlene Sandt Gee, 73 of Newtown, CT died peacefully February 14 at Sloan Kettering after a brief illness. She was born July 4, 1941 in Forks Township PA. to the late Sadie (Moser) and Paul Walter Sandt.
A resident of Newtown for the last 30 years, she graduated from Cedar Crest College in Allentown PA in 1963. She met her husband, Albert R. Gee at nearby Lehigh University and they spent 50 wonderful years together.
In addition to her husband Al, Carol is survived by daughter Martha and husband Andy Gardecki and grandsons, Christian, Jakob and Alexander of Danbury, CT and son Matthew and wife Stacey Gee of Newtown.
Also surviving are three brothers, Gary and wife Donna Lee Sandt of Forks Township, PA, Eric and wife Carol Sandt of Ft. Pierce, FL, George and wife Kathy Washburn of Saylorsburg, PA and one sister Georgine Washburn of Mesa, AZ, as well as numerous nieces and their families.
Carol will best be remembered for her lifelong love of sewing, where she excelled as a sewer and teacher. During her time in Newtown she worked at Newtown High School and developed the first career center. In addition she worked for The Taunton Press in Newtown, as a production assistant for Folkwear Patterns, and sales associate for Threads Magazine. She also worked with her husband Al at Ad-Ink in Stamford, CT.
She will be interred in Forks Cemetery in Stockertown, PA in a private ceremony. A memorial service celebrating her life will be scheduled for a later date in Newtown, CT.
