Angela Stellato, 89, of Shelton, CT, entered into a very peaceful eternal rest on February 23, 2016, at Connecticut Hospice, in Branford, CT, with family by her side. She was born on May 23,1926, in Vitulazio, Italy, to the late Teresa Di Donato Russo and the late Francisco Russo. Angela will be missed by her loving husband of 69 years, Antonio Stellato, and three children, Lina Luciano and her husband, Joseph Luciano, of Trumbull, CT; John Stellato and his wife, Valerie Stellato, of Mahopac, NY; Theresa Balas and her husband, Markus Balas, of Shelton, CT. Angela was also a loving Nonna to 8 grandchildren, and blessed with 5 great grandchildren. Angela's family and her faith in God meant everything to her. Family and friends may call on Sunday, February 28, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, CT. A funeral mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 29, at 10:00 AM, At St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown, CT. Internment will follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum, 289-284 Secor Road, in Hartsdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Angela's name to Connecticut Hospice Hospital, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT.
