Obituary for Anna Barbra Werner

Anna Barbara Werner, age 57, of Newtown died Tuesday December 1, 2009 at Danbury Hospital from injuries received after being hit by an automobile in North Salem, New York. Mrs. Werner was the beloved wife of Gary A. Werner.
She was born in Slupsk, Poland on January 1, 1952 a daughter of Zygmunt and Wladyslawa (Bochra) Skwara . Anna had been a resident and citizen of the United States for the past 48 years. She grew up and was educated in New Britain, CT and was a graduate of New Britain High School. She then attended Central Connecticut State University and graduated with a B.S. degree in accounting. Anna was employed as a Financial Consultant for Jefferson Wells in New York City.
Always full of life and energy, Anna was totally dedicated to family and friends. An incredibly hard worker both at home and on the job, she was compassionate to the core and was always more concerned about others than herself. She leaves friends and family wondering how they will go on without her.
In addition to her husband of nine years, Anna is survived by her immediate family in Tampa, FL, including her mother and father, sister Maria Millett and husband Claude, sister Elizabeth Skwara, niece Diane DiPietro and husband Mario, and nephew Michael Millett and wife Stephanie.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers and gifts, donations can be made to Anna’s two favorite, the Special Olympics at http://www.specialolympics.org and Children International at www.Children.org. The Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown is in charge of arrangements. To leave an online condolence go to www.honanfh.com
