Anne F. Kopf, 85, of Newtown, formerly of Norwalk, Woodbury, and Shelton, CT., died peacefully on Jan. 8th, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Born January 14, 1928, the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Fasano of Bronx, NY., Anne is survived by her husband Albert Kopf to whom she was a devoted wife for 53 years, a loving mother to her two children, son Steven Kopf and his wife Joyce, of Milford, Ct. and daughter Susan Corigliano and her husband Frank, of Newtown, CT, the doting grandmother to her three grandsons Frank, Jack, and Michael Corigliano with whom she lived in Newtown for 10 years, and stepgrandmother to Evan, Cassi, Alexandria, and Nicolette Corigliano; Anne is also survived by her sister Frances (Fasano) Magasic.
Anne was the head bookeeper at various companies for most of her career until her husband took an early retirement and they opened a restaurant in Woodbury, CT to fuel their passion for food and entertaining. Anne always put her husband, children and grandchildren before herself and loved to spend time with all of them. Her family misses her deeply and is comforted by the fact that they share so many memories of her and that she is no longer in pain. She will be greatly missed by all of those who came to know and love her and she will never be forgotten for all of the kind words and encouragement she gave to others.
Funeral services will take place Monday, January 13, at 10:30 a.m., at St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Newtown village Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, January 12, from 2 to 5 pm, at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
