Arlene D. Roebuck, age 58 of Newtown passed away April 17th after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Don D. Roebuck. She was born in Mount Kisco, New York on January 31, 1955 a daughter of Marian (Hodgett) Lueders of Danbury and the late Herbert Pitman. Arlene grew up in Bedford Hills, New York and was a graduate of Fox Lane High School, Class of 1973. She had been a resident of Newtown since the late 1970’s. In the 1980’s, Arlene was the manager of Germantown Seafood in Danbury. From 1990 until her retirement due to illness in 2005, she was the bookkeeper for Don Roebuck Seafood Dealers. Arlene loved her cats, Maggie May, Mellow and Cali. In addition to her husband and mother, survivors include 2 sisters, Mary Ann Bunt of New Jersey and Audrey Pitman of Newtown; a brother, Harry Pitman of Myrtle Beach, NC and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday April 28th at 3:00pm in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Friends may call from 1:00pm to 3:00pm prior to the service.
