McNamara, Catherine Panucci
Catherine "Cathy" Panucci McNamara of Newtown passed away on Monday, February 4th, 2013 after a long illness. She was born August 31, 1943 in Greenwich to the late Warren and Angelina Forte Panucci. A graduate of St. Mary's High School in Greenwich and the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT, Cathy went on to have a successful career on Wall Street before becoming a devoted stay at home mom. Cathy leaves behind her husband of 38 years Robert M. McNamara of Newtown, CT. She is also remembered by her children: Michael McNamara of Newtown, CT, Laura McNamara of Newtown, CT, Diane Gagne and her husband Kevin of Boston, MA, her grandchildren: Jaiden McNamara and Kayla Bayles. Cathy is also survived by her loving sister and brother-in-law Maryann and John Holman, nieces, nephews, as well as many cousins.Family and friends are welcome to call at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, from 3-7pm on Sunday, February 10th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Monday, February 11th at St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown.
