Obituary for Christian Jean Vossen

Christian J Vossen age 57 of Bethel died at his home Wednesday April 3, 2013 after a long illness. Born Feb. 2 1957 in Ougree, Belgium, he was the son of the late Hubert and MaryJeanne (Borlez) Vossen. At the age of 10 he immigrated to the United States along with his father, mother and sister. He attended Danbury and Bethel Public Schools.
Christian worked as a Mold Technician / Machinist for Amphenol in Danbury and Winchester Electronics of New Milford until he moved to North Carolina. He moved back to Connecticut to help take care of his father who died this past January.
Christian lived a quiet life and took happiness from simple pleasures. He was a very good artist in his early years and could draw very detailed cars and trucks. He was very friendly and honest with a great sense of humor. Christian will be missed by many who knew him. He leaves behind his daughter Stehannie Vossen and his grandchildren Nikeya and Marquel of North Carolina; a son Christian L.Vossen of Bethel and a sister Silviane Carbone and her husband Christopher of Newtown along with several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours however family and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service that will take place on Saturday May 25, 2013 at 11:00 am at St Rose Cemetery located on Cherry St., Sandy Hook.
