Cindy volunteered as an assistant to the kindergarten teachers in the Danbury School system, at Faith Food Pantry and Dorothy Day among others. Cindy’s real and abiding passions were her family and friends. Cindy loved spending time with her granddaughter Summer at her son Matt’s home in Summit, NJ. Cindy has many passionate past times including golf, playing Bridge with the Newtown Bridge Club, playing card games and Scrabble with her family, giving tarot card readings, and working in her flower garden at home. Cindy loved that she was able to learn the art of Shamballa Reiki from her aunt in Massachusetts. Cindy had a heart of gold and will certainly be missed by everyone that knew her.
After her son Justin passed away she felt the need to help children in need and joined the Connecticut State fostering program with her husband Steve. They provided fostering to many wonderful kids. They were blessed when Trevor came in to their lives. It was like Trevor had always been part of the family. Trevor was adopted in 2014.
