David Michael Forde, 60, of Sandy Hook, CT passed away after a long illness on October 26, 2009 at the Hebrew Health Care Hospital in West Hartford, CT. David was the husband of Janet Torok Forde. He was also the beloved father to Margaret Forde of Plainville, CT and Erica Kowalski of Woodbury, CT. He is also survived by his son-in-law Steve and his most adored Grandson, Alex. In addition David is survived by brother Cyril Forde of NY and sisters Sheila Conneely and Theresa McGann of Ireland, plus many nephews and nieces.

David worked for United Rentals until 2007. David loved nature, hiking and animals especially his beloved dog, Pepe, who was his loyal companion throughout his illness, and his cat Kramer. David will be missed by all who knew him.

At David’s request there will be no calling hours. The family is planning a private celebration of his life in the future. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association where there is a tribute in honor of him
