Faith Patricia Anderson, 67 of Brookfield, died at Laurel Ridge Nursing Home, Ridgefield on Tuesday Oct 31, 2017. She was born March 24, 1950 in Danbury Hospital a daughter of the late Barbara M. (McArdle) and Harry G. Anderson. Faith resided in Newtown for 20 years, graduating from Newtown High School, until she moved to Brookfield in 1970. Miss Anderson obtained a BA Degree in psychology from Western CT State University and a Master’s Degree in childhood education from Nova University. She taught at Peter Piper Nursery School in Brookfield and My Nursery School in Ridgefield. In 1978 she cofounded and was the director of Supplemental Child Care Services, a nonprofit agency that trained and monitored daycare providers in nutrition, health and safety and also distributed federal funds to daycare homes through the CT Department of Education's Child Nutrition Unit. Miss Anderson was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, Brookfield. She is survived by a sister Barbara I. Anderson of Brookfield and was predeceased by her parents and a brother Hal G. Anderson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church, Brookfield Saturday November 4, 2017 at 10:00am. Interment will follow in St. Rose Cemetery, Sandy Hook. Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown Friday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
