Obituary for Frederick Clifton "Kip" White Jr.

Frederick Clifton "Kip" White Jr.
F. Clifton “Kip” White, Jr., a devoted father and loving family- man, born September 7, 1946 in Ithaca, NY passed away Saturday September 16, 2017 in Newtown, CT from complications due to congestive heart failure. Kip was a loyal friend to all, a mentor to many. He was a true patriot with a passion for conservative politics and a proud class of 1965 graduate of the New York Military Academy. He enjoyed over 30 years working for the U.S. government, most of which were spent with the Department of the Interior. Kip was proud to have visited almost all 50 of the United States and could dazzle you with trivia from his work travels. He enjoyed reading and had an immense talent for writing and editing. He also had a flair for cooking, making his mashed potatoes family-famous and passed on his master flank steak grilling technique and marinade to all three children. Kip never missed a headline on Fox News, but also enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins, a love he passed to his children. Rarely seen without a phone in hand, Kip was best at keeping in touch with family members and friends; his favorite being FaceTime calls from his grandchildren and connecting with friends on Facebook.
Above all, Kip loved his family. He is survived by Denise White and their three children F. Clifton “Clif” White, III, Cameron White and Caitlyn Doenges. His light will live on through his six beloved grandchildren; Ainsley, F. Clifton “Freddie,” IV and Cohen White; Landon White; and Kennerly and Charlie Doenges. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. F. Clifton “Bunny” White and his sister, Carole White Green of Fredericksburg, VA and his children’s spouses, Jaime White, Amanda White and Oliver Doenges.
A service to celebrate Kip’s life will be held Saturday October 14 at 1:00 in the afternoon at the Second Congregational Church 139 East Putnam Avenue Greenwich, CT 06830. Kip always loved colorful, fresh flowers, if interested in sending an arrangement, please send to the church for the service..
