Genevieve B. Lacko, 87, of Southbury, died February 19th at the Lutheran Home of Southbury. She was born June 28, 1925 in Stamford the daughter of Agnes and Stanley Bedynek. In 1948, Genevieve married Lester M. Lacko and resided in Stamford with their four children, until moving to Newtown in 1972. Besides working at Pitney Bowes in Danbury, she was a devoted mother to her children. Upon retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Lacko moved to Heritage Village in Southbury, where she was involved with the Heritage Village Association and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lacko is survived by her children, Thomas Lacko of Naugatuck, Steven Lacko of Maine, Elizabeth Randall and her son Adam of Southbury, Karen Marron and her husband Stephen, and their children Ryan and Ashley all of Newtown. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews and her caring friends at the Lutheran Home of Southbury. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister Helen and brother Bernie. A funeral service will be held on Monday February 25th at 12:00 noon in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Interment in St. Rose Cemetery will be in the Spring.
