Helen A. (Macri) Castagna, age 78, beloved wife of Michael Castagna of Newtown died Wednesday evening July 13, 2011 in Masonicare at Newtown after a long illness. She was born in Norwalk on January 29, 1933 a daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Hendricks) Macri. A resident of Newtown since 1978, Helen was the owner of the Botsford Drive-In Restaurant in the Botsford section of Newtown for 27 years. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Castagna is survived by two sons, Michael Castagna of Palm Coast, Florida and Craig Castagna of Semi Valley, Calif.; a daughter, Marisa Castagna McGettigan of Palm Coast, Florida; 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; an Aunt, Jossie Szotak and a cousin, Marsha Szotak, both of Ridgefield. Predeceased by a son, Anthony Castagna and by a daughter, Nanciellen Castagna. Funeral Services will be held Monday July 18, 2011 at 10:00am from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown and at 10:30am in St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown for a Mass of Christian Burial.
