James H. Pressmar of Ancram, NY, formerly of Middlebury, passed away on October 22, 2009. Jim was born on February 20, 1949 in New Rochelle, NY a son of Edna (Langeloh) Pressmar of Newtown and the late Edward Pressmar. He was a graduate of Newtown High School. Jim served in the US Navy aboard the USS Enterprise in Vietnam from 1968-1972. He was a plumber for 30 years and a member of the Danbury Rod and Reel. Jim was the loving husband to Antoinette (Licciardi) Pressmar, the devoted father to James Pressmar Jr. and wife Elysia of Eureka, CA, Kimberly Luciano and husband James of Eastchester, NY, and Melissa Pressmar and boyfriend Jeremy Maendel of Woodbury, and the proud grandfather to James "JJ" Luciano, Jr. Survivors also include his mother, four siblings, Jean Fuegeman and husband Carl, Edward Pressmar II, Ginger Lourenco and husband Dan, and Patricia Costa and husband Al, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father. Jim was a nature lover that enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, and boating. He was a hard working father and husband that provided for his family whom he loved dearly. Friends may call Thursday Oct. 29, from 4-7 PM at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St, Newtown.
