Jane Marie Zuckerman (nee Mercier), age 59, died on Monday, September 25th, 2017 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT after an illness with cancer. She was born on February 25, 1958 in Plainfield, NJ to the late Philip L. Mercier and late Muriel T. Mercier (nee Tetreault). For many years Jane worked as an electrical engineer for IBM in Fishkill, NY. Jane and her husband Jon had recently retired and were living in Moneta, VA. She is survived by her husband, Jon Zuckerman; her son Marc Lake of Middletown, CT; her son Paul Lake of Fishkill, NY; her sister Paula Cosgrove of Newtown, CT; her brother Carl Mercier of New Milford, CT; her sister Louise Kessler of Newtown, CT; her brother Michael Mercier of Folsom, CA; her niece Jessica Schrock of Ashford, CT; her niece Caitlin Cosgrove of Sandy Hook, CT and her nephew David Mercier of New Milford, CT. There will be no service or wake per Jane’s wishes. The family will plan a private remembrance at some point in the future.
